You might think that when the enemy comes after you, it’s gonna be this disastrous event. Death, loss of a job, or some horrendous accident. But that’s not always the case. A lot of times, Satan uses subtle tactics.
Two subtle tactics I’ve recently experienced
A little negativity here or a disagreement with someone there.
It’s part of life. Isn’t that we’re led to believe?
And, it’s a perfect place for the enemy to attack.
I’ve just experienced a couple of different things recently and because of that I almost gave up on some things I was excited about.
My life was going along quite nicely. I was in my little grove with things happening. Good things.
First, there was the tactic of negativity.
A close friend sent me a note of congratulations and encouragement. But when I read it, I started reading more into it. Things like, What did she mean by that? Does she think I can’t do the job? Were going through my head.
One thing led to another, and I started believing that I wasn’t equipped for the task at hand.
I have to admit I was getting into a bit of a tizzy about it! Thankfully I have God on my side. (And so do you!)
I flipped open my Bible, and there it was staring me in the face.
I repeat that verse to myself whenever I start feeling anxious about what I’m doing!
Then there is the tactic of using other people.
This happened to me a few weeks ago…
Someone jumped to a conclusion and didn’t like the decision my husband and I made. It rattled me so much, that I couldn’t think straight!
Which resulted in me having a lack of focus. I thought it would undermine my ability to play the piano at church. And you know what I almost did? I almost canceled.amzn_assoc_placement = “adunit0”; amzn_assoc_tracking_id = “adelmoga09-20”; amzn_assoc_ad_mode = “manual”; amzn_assoc_ad_type = “smart”; amzn_assoc_marketplace = “amazon”; amzn_assoc_region = “US”; amzn_assoc_linkid = “eb840a418e8ebeca1f7e52750686df22”; amzn_assoc_design = “in_content”; amzn_assoc_title = “Recommended Books”; amzn_assoc_asins = “1631465783,0310351367,1594633533,0310090679”; //z-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/onejs?MarketPlace=US
I have to remember, and I hope you will too, the attacks from the enemy are no match for Jesus.
The Lord is faithful and He will strengthen and protect you from the Evil One. 2 Thessalonians 3:3
I pray that when you’re faced with subtle attacks from the enemy, that you too will turn your eyes to Jesus.
And then there are the Angels. I’ll tell you about that next week 🙂
Until next time, enjoy your day and the journey
