When A Seed is Planted

While reading Christine Caine’s book, Undaunted, God planted the seed to reopen my shop.

I’d run with the thought, trying in vain to come up with a new shop name and logo, among a million other things. Only to give up.

But, that tug at my heart always came back. It was kinda relentless!  

This cycle repeated itself until I opened the shop in November.

What does Undaunted have to do with it?

When I read Undaunted, it introduced me to A21, n organization to stop Human Trafficking

When you watch movies about human trafficking, it can feel as if it’s in another world, place, and time. It might even feel like it has nothing to do with you.

What they don’t tell you in those movies, you know the ones where everything works out in the end? Is that it doesn’t work out in the end for most of the victims. 

According to A21 only 1% of victims are recovered. And human trafficking is the fastest-growing Criminal Industry in the world!

It is horrifying and heartbreaking.

The Seed Needs to Be Planted

 I knew I had to help, somehow. Having the idea to open my shop to help was nice, but if I had left it at that? It would kinda be like having a package of seeds and never planting them. What good is that?

And that is why I opened the Quilted Bungalow. To help, it may not be a lot. But It’s what I feel called to do now.

When you make a purchase from The Quilted Bungalow  10% of your total purchase, (less taxes) are donated to A21.
