A Gift From God. No Cartwheels Necessary

A gift From God Feature Imapge

Looking back, I can say being a cheerleader was a gift from God. If you’re wondering how it could be a gift since you have to work for it, practice routines, and try out. Please read on.

Yup me. A freckle-faced gawky teen was a cheerleader in my freshman year of high school.

And before you go thinking about whatever things you think a cheerleader is. I wasn’t.

It still surprises me that I even signed up!

Besides the fact that I didn’t fit the Cheerleader stereotype, none of my friends were interested in this adventure. I signed up anyway.

As luck would have it, only a handful of girls signed up. And because of that, no tryouts were necessary. I was on the team.

There I was, a flat-chested, gawky teen, with freckles and strawberry blonde hair a cheerleader. Hard to believe.

It Was A Gift From God

I didn’t get this gig by trying out.

I didn’t get it because I’m fantastic at cartwheels and all the other ‘gymnatsiky’ things that cheerleaders do! LOL! I can’t do a cartwheel to save my life. (Thankfully I don’t have to!). 🙂

I got in because I accepted the invitation to join.

That’s all you need to do with God. Accept His Gift.

You don’t have to try out or prove anything to Him. You’re saved by His grace, not by your good deeds, works, or talents.

No cartwheels are necessary. Nope. God loves you, whether you can do cartwheels or not.

Until next time, enjoy your day and the journey
